Last night at Qualcomm’s event, the company partially launched a list that included a number of manufacturers whose devices will be powered by them. One such smartphone manufacturer is the tech giant Xiaomi.
On the tech summit of Qualcomm Snapdragon, the vice-chairman and co-founder of the company, Mr. Bin Lin announced that Xiaomi’s Mi 10 will be among the initial devices which will be powered by the new Snapdragon 865 chipset.
It is now confirmed that the Mi 10 will be the first upcoming flagship by the Chinese company, which will be running this newest and latest offering by Qualcomm. According to the speculations, there will also be another variant of this device called the Mi 10 Pro, which will also have the same Snapdragon 865 processor.
According to Qualcomm, the Snapdragon 865 has a better overall performance on both the GPU and CPU side, which means even after a long day of playing games, the gameplay will not get affected at any means.
This chip also has the capability to have better AI features for augmented reality and camera. The processor can also support the 108Mega-Pixel sensor and even more than that.
Even though the chip supports 5G, Qualcomm is not bundling a 5G modem with its flagship-grade chipset. There is a separate modem for having 5G support on their devices called Snapdragon X55 5G.
Apart from the massive processor upgrade, the Mi 10 can also have the same 108MP high-resolution sensor like the Mi CC9 Pro or Mi Note 10. The amount of RAM and internal storage on this device is currently under the wraps, but we can say that the Mi 10 will have a sufficient amount of RAM and internal storage.
The device is also rumored to be having support for a whopping 66W fast-charging. There are currently no renders in the market about the device, but going through the rumors, the Mi 10 will most probably have a punch-hole display.
