Xiaomi launched the Mi 10 and Mi 10 Pro with a 108MP quad-camera setup!

Today, Xiaomi launched its flagship smartphones for this year i.e. the Mi 10 and Mi 10 Pro. Judging by the specs, both the Mi 10 and the Pro are some of the most jam-packed phones by the company. Both smartphones have the latest flagship Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 processor with a new and faster UFS 3.0 storage and more efficient LPDDR5 RAM.

Just like the previous Mi Note 10 or the Mi CC9 Pro, this year’s Xiaomi flagships also sport that large 108 Megapixel primary sensor by Samsung in a quad-camera setup. While we are at it, the Mi 10 Pro has been awarded an amazing score of 124 by DxoMark for the optics present in this smartphone. So, let’s take a look at what Xiaomi brings to the table this year with its new flagships.

Firstly talking about the display, the Mi 10 flaunts a beautiful Full HD+ (Hole-punch) curved AMOLED display with a resolution of 1080 x 2340 pixels sizing up to 6.67-inches. Xiaomi follows the trend of high refresh rate displays by giving a 90Hz refresh rate display and 180Hz touch sampling rate with the smartphone. The screen goes as bright as up to 1,120 nits, which makes it easy to use even in direct sunlight, and it also gives a contrast ratio of 5,000,000:1.

Talking about the configurations, the Mi 10 packs the latest Qualcomm SNapdragon 865 SoC, which is an octa-core processor. The phone also has a much faster LPDDR5 RAM setup with an efficient UFS 3.0 storage for fast data transfer. Taking a look ar the battery, it has a battery capacity of 4,780mAh that supports 30W wired charging, 30W wireless charging, and 10W reverse wireless charging.

Coming towards the optics, which is the most hot-topic in these smartphones as the Mi 10 has support for some amazing features like shooting 8K videos with a resolution of 7,680×4,320 pixels. On the front, there is a single 20 Megapixel sensor in the hole-punch of display for selfies.

On the rear, the Mi 10 has a quad-rear camera setup on the back comprising of a 108 Megapixel primary Samsung ISOCELL Bright HM1 sensor (1/1.33-inch in size) with a 7-element lens that has support for Optical Image Stabilization. It also has a 13 Megapixel Ultra-wide lens with an f/2.4 aperture and 123° field of view, a 2 Megapixel telephoto, and a 2 megapixel Macro for close-up Macro shots.

Price and Availability

Pre-order for the Mi 10 is underway, and tomorrow it will go on sale in China. The phone is available in color options like Titanium Silver Black, Peach Gold, and Ice Blue. The prices are as follows:

  • 8/128GB is priced at around CNY 3,999 (roughly Rs. 40,000).
  • 8/256GB variant is priced at around CNY 4,299 (roughly Rs. 43,000).
  • 12/256GB is priced at around CNY 4,699 (roughly Rs. 47,000)

The display on the Mi 10 Pro is a 6.67-inches HRD 10+ curved AMOLED display with a Full HD + resolution (1080 x 2340 pixels). The display is a bit brighter than the standard Mi 10 with a brightness of 1,200 nits, and just like the Mi 10, it has that same 90Hz refresh rate with 180Hz touch sampling rate and a contrast ratio of 5,000,000:1. Apart from this, the display also has support for features like DC dimming and DCI-P3 color gamut support.

Talking about the configurations, the Mi 10 Pro has the same Snapdragon 865 chipset with LPDDR5 RAM and UFS 3.0 storage in the 12/256GB variant. Taking a look ar the battery, it has a battery capacity of 4,500 mAh that supports 50W wired charging, 30W wireless fast charging, and 10W reverse wireless charging.

Talking about the optics, the Mi 10 Pro has the same but better quad-camera setup starting with the 108 Megapixel primary sensor (1/1.33-inch in size) with an 8-element lens that has support for Optical Image Stabilization. It also has a 20 Megapixel Ultra-wide lens with an f/2.2 aperture and 117° field of view, a 12 Megapixel f/2.0 lens, an 8 Megapixel telephoto f/2.0 lens, 10x zoom, and OIS support.

Price and Availability

Pre-order for the Mi 10 Pro is also underway, and it will go on sale in China on February 18th. The phone is available in color options like Pearl White and Starry blue. The prices are as follows :

  • 8/256GB is priced at around CNY 4,999 (roughly Rs. 50,000).
  • 12/256GB is priced at around CNY 5,499 (roughly Rs. 55,000).
  • 12/512GB is priced at around CNY 6,000 (roughly Rs. 60,000).
