Recently Microsoft has announced that they are getting ready to roll out the next version of Windows 10 for PCs. They named this version like Windows 10 November 2019 Update. It’s the first time Microsoft mentioned the name of the update publicly –its also known as version 1909.
Brandon LeBlanc also confirmed that the Insider Preview Build 18363.418 is the final build in the Windows Blog. He also mentioned that build 18363.418 includes all the latest 19h2 features and fixes released in update KB4517389.
The company has been testing the 20H1 Insider Preview in its Fast Ring, which will be available next year in springtime. With today’s announcement, the 20H1 will move to Slow Ring in the coming weeks, meaning those who want to continue with the Windows 10 November 2019 Update, they will have to move to the Release Preview Ring.
The May 2019 Update (version 1903) and November 2019 (version 1909) both share the same servicing content; in other words, the same Cumulative Update packages. However, there is an additional enablement package in Windows 10 November 2019 Update, which enables new features. The build revision number of both the versions always match as they have the same servicing content; thus, only moving from build 18362 to 18363.
In the blog, there is no information about when the Windows 10 November 2019 Update will release. Those who want to move to the Release Preview Ring to remain on the November 2019 Update, they can check the full Windows 10 Blog notes here.
