WhatsApp has finally introduced to pushing out the fingerprint lock feature for WhatsApp on Android. Previously this feature was only available to the Android Beta users. With this new update, the WhatsApp Android version comes closer to the iOS version, which now supports the Face ID and Touch ID.[wpinsertshortcodead id=”bzyqm5d3e04029f48f”]
To use the WhatsApp Fingerprint lock feature, you just have to go to settings > Account > Privacy > Fingerprint lock and of course! You can toggle the feature on/off. Moreover, you can set the time for the automatic lock to be on and have the option to show/hidden content in the notification panel.
To utilize the new feature, you’ll have to make sure that you check the Google Play Store and use any WhatsApp updates that are offered. Obviously, if you currently utilize an app that needs your fingerprint to open apps, you’ll have to ensure that you disable this before using the new feature of WhatsApp; otherwise, you need to validate yourself two times.
For those who still didn’t get the WhatsApp fingerprint lock feature, just backup your messages and reinstall the software.
