Twitter is testing a new feature that will help users to focus more on real-life rather than on their phones. The new feature would allow users to mute notification for a specific amount of time.

Twitter app for Android code reveals that the company is working on the Snooze feature for controlling notifications. It was first discovered by Jane Manchun Wong, who time to time discovers the features of social media which aren’t released yet. The feature tested is labeled as “Snooze.” Users can pause the notification for either 1 hour, 3 hours, or 12 hours.

The Snooze feature is shown as a bell button on top of the Notification tab of the Twitter app. On tapping the bell button, users will get different length of snooze durations. When the Snooze is on, users won’t receive any push notifications. However, notifications will appear in the Notification Tab of the Twitter App.

Although, it’s not clear whether the feature will release pubically. However, it will be a helpful feature for users who has huge followers or whose tweet goes viral.
