Samsung Trademarks SAMOLED Displays following Launch of Galaxy S11

Known for its best and wide range of smartphones with world-class displays, Samsung is one of the most trusted smartphone brands in the world. The AMOLED displays used in Samsung smartphones never failed in impressing the manufacturers with their superiority and energy-saving capabilities. The AMOLED displays used by Samsung are famous for being superior to the LCD panels.

Known for its innovations, the brand after improving its Active-Matrix OLED displays is taking a step forward through its upcoming flagship smartphones. This Korean tech giant is planning to bring its display game to a new level for the coming year 2020 with a relatively new technology called SAMOLED.

The Galaxy S11 smartphone to be launched by the company is reported to come with the SAMOLED display. It is a new display technology with the world-famous tech giant has patented for with KIPO (Korean Intellectual Property Office).

After the trademark was announced, there is a mystery among the users as to what does the letter ‘S’ in SAMOLED stands for. It can be Super-AMOLED, but these displays have already been in use for quite a long time now.

There are not many details regarding the new technology patented by Samsung. Still, it is expected that the performance of the devices featuring it will have an improved performance paired with an enhanced experience for the users.

It is also expected that the company will use the SAMOLED display in its mid-range products and will be featured in Samsung TVs, monitors, and digital signage.

It can very well be said that this is an addition to the Dynamic AMOLED screen with an OLED panel and with HDR10+ support in Galaxy 10 smartphones.
