Samsung has filed a similar trademark with the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO).
After the trademark was announced, there is a mystery among the users as to what does the letter ‘S’ in SAMOLED stands for. It can be Super-AMOLED, but these displays have already been in use for quite a long time now.
There are not many details regarding the new technology patented by Samsung. Still, it is expected that the performance of the devices featuring it will have an improved performance paired with an enhanced experience for the users.
It is also expected that the company will use the SAMOLED display in its mid-range products and will be featured in Samsung TVs, monitors, and digital signage.
