Samsung Odyssey G7 Curved Gaming Monitor Launched Globally with a refresh rate of 240Hz!

Today, the South Korean giant Samsung announced the launch of its most-awaited Odyssey G7 curved gaming monitor. This gaming monitor was first seen back in January at CES 2020 in Las Vegas. Moreover, It is the world’s first gaming monitor to boast a curvature radius of 1,000 millimeters. So, let’s talk about the specifications of the G7 curved gaming monitor in detail.

So, the G7 gaming monitor comes with a WQHD QLED display with a resolution of 2,560×1,440 pixels and an aspect ratio of 16:9. It features a refresh rate of up to 240Hz with a rapid response time of 1ms. Other than that, the gaming monitor also comes with NVIDIA G-Sync compatibility, Adaptive-Sync on DP1.4, and Quantum Dot technology.

Hyesung Ha, Senior Vice President of Visual Display Business at Samsung Electronics said in a blog post,

“Samsung Odyssey G7 curved monitor is the ultimate combination of curvature, comfort and a competitive edge. It provides gamers the high-level performance they need.”

Some other details include a color-changing rear core lighting system that changes color according to the preference of the gamer. Also, Samsung has placed dynamic shapes and lighting effects at the front of this gaming monitor.

As for the price and availability, the G7 Odyssey gaming monitor will be up for purchase in June globally. However, the price of the gaming monitor is still under the covers. So, stay tuned for more updates.
