Samsung is a popular company name that manufactures budget and flagship smartphones as well as the components industry also. From smartphones to the chipset, the company makes it all. Now, as per a new report, Samsung is working on a new 150MP NANOCELL camera sensor for mobile devices.
The latest image sensor from Samsung is now the 108MP ISOCELL Bright HMX, featured first in Mi Note 10 and later on in its latest flagship, Galaxy S20 Ultra. However, the company isn’t yet satisfied with the pixel reach and reportedly working on developing a 1-inch 150MP camera sensor.
The new 150MP camera sensor will be featured with Samsung’s NANOCELL technology, which means each pixel will include nine individual pixels instead of four in the 108MP camera sensor. This will result in the absorption of more light, which will create a much higher resolution picture. The 108MP camera sensor can shoot a 12MP photo that Samsung highlighted in their keynote. This new 150MP camera sensor would be able to shoot 16MP images.
As per the source, it might be a rumor but also mentions that the new NANOCELL 150MP camera sensor will be used by an upcoming Xiaomi device, which will be in Q4 of 2020. However, there is no such evidence that will suggest that the company may use this new sensor in its next flagship.
