Samsung Unpacked is about to go down on the 11th of February 2020 and it will be a major event for Samsung as the Korean smartphone manufacturer will unveil its upcoming Flagship lineup called the Galaxy S20. Apart from the S20 series, the company will also unveil its next-gen foldable smartphone called Galaxy Z Flip which is the successor to the previous Galaxy Fold.
Talking about Galaxy Z Flip smartphone, a person by the name of Ben Geskin who is a leaker by profession recently uploaded a short video of Samsung Galaxy Z Flip hands-on on his twitter handle. In the video, we see the Z Flip first in its compact shape i.e. the folded state and after the phone is opened, it unveils a significantly taller display inside.
According to the video, the Galaxy Z Flip smartphone has a very tiny external display on the front that can only show minor things like time, battery percentage, and call notifications. Talking about the main display, we have a massive 6.7-inch panel with a resolution of 2636 x 1080. The display is made up of glass replacing plastic materials and in width, it is thinner or equivalent to a human hair.
Apart from this, the Z Flip is expected to have a Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 Plus SoC coupled with 8 gigs of RAM and 256 gigs of storage. Talking about the camera, there is a dual-lens setup on the back and a single hole-punch in the center of the display for the front camera. According to Samsung, the next-gen Z Flip will be cheaper than the Galaxy Fold at $1,980 but it will still be expensive than the upcoming Galaxy S20 smartphone.
