Samsung Galaxy Z Flip (Fold 2) renders – Critical information before Samsung Unpacked!

If you have been following our website, you know that Samsung’s Unpacked event is about to go down on 11th February 2020. This event has a lot of vital things like the unveiling of Samsung Galaxy S20 i.e. this year’s Flagship smartphone by the company and not only that, it also includes the launch of Samsung Galaxy Z Flip or the Galaxy Fold 2!

Now don’t get confused and let us explain, the Samsung Galaxy Fold 2, Galaxy Bloom, and Galaxy Z Flip are names of the same phone! Well, previously it was reported that the Fold 2 will get announced by the name Galaxy Bloom but it turns out, Bloom is just a codename and the phone is actually called Samsung Galaxy Z Flip!

The Galaxy Z Flip renders are out online which is the next-gen foldable smartphone by the Korean smartphone manufacturer. Judging by the renders, the display on this looks very thin and compact. Built on the footprints of Motorola Razr’s clamshell design, the Z Flip flaunts a UTG or Ultra-Thin Glass display which increases the screen durability by a huge margin.

The UTG display is speculated to be having a thickness of 100 microns to 30 microns i.e. very thin! Apart from the display, the Z Flip has a dual-camera setup on the backup that can be used as a front camera when the device is in its compact form-factor. Other than that, the device also has a dedicated front camera in the hole-punch display.

Speaking of a secondary display, after folding the Galaxy Z Flip you will encounter a second display that will mirror the back camera module when taking a selfie. Apart from taking selfies, this secondary display will show the time, notifications, battery, and incoming calls or messages in a compact manner so that you don’t have to open your phone every single time when you have an e-mail or a message from a coworker.

Taking a look at the camera modules in the Galaxy Z Flip renders, the back camera is speculated to be a 108 Megapixel Samsung sensor with support for 5x Optical Zoom while the front camera is supposed to be a 10 Megapixel sensor. Battery capacity is supposed to be smaller on this thing as it is rumored to be having two batteries one with 900 mAh and the other with 2,300 mAh with support for fast-charging.

Talking about hardware, the Z Flip is rumored to be running Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 Plus chip combined with 8 gigs of RAM and 256 gigs of storage. The performance will not be an issue on this device as it is supposed to be running the flagship-grade chip. The only thing which concerns everyone is the permanence of the foldable display!

One thing is clear after seeing the Galaxy Z Flip renders i.e. For increasing the durability of its foldable smartphone, Samsung used the UTG displays and a new hinge mechanism called Hideaway Hinge that ensures that no crease will ever occur on the display of your foldable smartphone.

With the appearance of Galax Z Flip renders online, everyone has an idea of what this smartphone will look like. With all of this integrated on this device, one thing is clear that the upcoming Galaxy Z Flip or the Fold 2 will never follow the same footprints of its predecessor the original Samsung Galaxy Fold.
