Samsung Galaxy Note 20 and Note 20 Ultra Launched Starting at $999!

-

Samsung has launched its most awaited Galaxy Note 20 lineup at its Galaxy Unpacked event today. Both smartphones look similar to what we saw in the leaks with a slight difference. The Galaxy Note 20 lineup includes the vanilla Note 20 and Note 20 Ultra. So, without further ado, let’s talk about the Galaxy Note 20 and Note 20 Ultra features and specifications.

Galaxy Note 20 Ultra

First, let’s talk about design. The Galaxy Note 20 Ultra comes in a new Mystic bronze finish with a textured matte finish on the glass back panel. It features a triple camera setup shaped in a rectangular bracket. Meanwhile, the front camera comes with a hole-punch cutout placed in the center at the top.

Second, let’s talk about the display. The Galaxy Note 20 Ultra comes with a 6.9-inch Quad-HD+ dynamic AMOLED 2X curved display (120Hz refresh rate) with a resolution of 1440 x 3088 pixels and a screen-to-body ratio of 91.7%. It also comes with protection from the Corning Gorilla Glass Victus, which makes it the first smartphone to feature this new protection. It additionally comes with HDR10+ certification that allows you to stream HDR content on Netflix and Prime Video.

Third, let’s talk about the camera. The Galaxy Note 20 Ultra comes with a triple-camera setup on the rear, which includes a primary 108MP (f/1.8) primary camera with OIS, a 12MP Ultra-wide lens (f/2.2) with 120-degree FOV, and a 12MP Telephoto lens (f/3.0) with 5x optical zoom and 50x Space Zoom. Meanwhile, the front camera is a 10MP selfie snapper with f/2.2 aperture.

Fourth, let’s talk about the internals. The Galaxy Note 20 Ultra comes with the recently launched Snapdragon 865+ chipset coupled with up to 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM and up to 512GB of UFS 3.1 storage. The battery on this one is 4500mAh with support for 25W fast charging, 15W wireless charging, and 9W Power Share charging.

Price and Availability

The Galaxy Note 20 Ultra starts at a massive $1299.99 (97,299 Indian Rupees). It comes in three color variants, namely Mystic Black, Mystic Bronze, and Mystic White. As for availability, it is currently up on pre-order in the US, and it will soon reach widely from August 21st.

Galaxy Note 20

First, let’s talk about design. Just like the Note 20 Ultra, it also comes in a Mystic bronze finish with a textured matte finish. However, instead of a glass back, Note 20 features a polycarbonate rear panel. It also features a triple-camera setup at the rear shaped in a rectangular bracket.

Second, let’s talk about the display. The Galaxy Note 20 comes with a 6.7-inch Full-HD+ flat AMOLED display with a resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels and a screen-to-body ratio of 89.2%. It offers a refresh rate of 60Hz, which is disappointing as compared to the price it has been placed. Furthermore, it also comes with Corning Gorilla Glass Victus and HDR10+ certification.

Third, let’s talk about the camera. The Galaxy Note 20 comes with a triple-camera setup on the rear, which includes a 12MP primary camera with OIS, a 12MP (f/2.2) ultra-wide camera with a 120-degree FOV, and a 64MP (f/2.0) telephoto camera with 3x hybrid zoom and 30x Space Zoom. Meanwhile, the front camera is a 12MP selfie snapper with f/2.2 aperture.

Fourth, let’s talk about the internals. The Galaxy Note 20 also comes with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 865+ SoC coupled with 8GB of LPDDR5 RAM and up to 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage. The battery on this one is 4300mAh with support for 25W fast charging, 15W wireless charging, and 9W Power Share charging.

Moreover, the Galaxy Note 20 series comes with a Bluetooth-enabled S Pen that now also works as pointer, with a range of around 10 meters.
