Samsung Galaxy M01s launched in India with MediaTek’s Helio P22 chipset


After launching the Galaxy M01 a month ago, the South Korean giant Samsung has launched an updated version of the smartphone, today. It comes with some decent improvements compared to its predecessor. Moreover, it features MediaTek’s Helio P22 chipset and a dual-camera setup. So, now, let’s talk about the specifications of the Galaxy M01s smartphone.

Galaxy M01s Specifications

First, let’s talk about design. The Galaxy M01s comes with a design similar to its predecessor with a bland polycarbonate build. Apart from that, there is a physical fingerprint scanner on the back with a dual rear camera setup.

Second, let’s talk about the display. The Galaxy M01s comes with a 6.2-inch HD+ PLS TFT Infinity-V display with a resolution of 1520 × 720 pixels and an aspect ratio of 19:9. Moreover, it comes with a per-pixel density of 270 PPI.

Third, let’s talk about the camera. The Galaxy M01s comes with a dual-camera setup on the rear, which includes a 13MP primary camera with f/1.8 aperture and a 2MP depth sensor. Meanwhile, the front features an 8MP selfie camera with f/2.0 aperture.

Fourth, let’s talk about the internals. The Galaxy M01s comes with Helio P22 chipset coupled with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of built-in storage. It is an entry-level chipset from MediaTek used in budget smartphones priced around Rs. 8,000 lineup. Moreover, the battery on this one is a 4,000mAh battery with micro-USB type support. In terms of connectivity, it comes with Bluetooth 4.2, and WiFi 802.11 b/g/n (2.4GHz).

Price and Availability

The Galaxy M01s will retail at Rs. 9,999 for the 3GB RAM and 32GB storage variant. However, there is no information available right now about when the smartphone will go on sale. But, we do know it will be available at major e-commerce sites,, and offline stores.
