Samsung Galaxy Fold 2 Live images appeared online ahead of launch

Recently a Weibo user has leaked supposed Samsung Galaxy Fold 2 Live images online ahead of the launch. At first glance, you will see that this new foldable phone by Samsung looks a lot like the newly-launched Motorola Razr. It has the same clamshell design which Motorola has to offer, and Samsung was speculated to be launching its next foldable phone with that same design.

Some people who had used or seen the Samsung Galaxy Fold had a lot of issues with that thing. One of those issues was its crease from where the phone was folded, and you can very clearly see the crease, which made the overall display experience pretty bad. Now, after seeing the Galaxy Fold 2 live images, we can say that Samsung has solved this crease problem by a big margin.

According to the leaks, the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Fold 2 is featuring a Clamshell design, and the benefit of this design apart from the invisible crease is that it makes the phone very much small and portable. Not that the previous Galaxy Fold was portable, but it was more like a tablet to hold, and even with the lid closed, it was still a pretty tall phone.

The clamshell design that is shown in the Galaxy Fold 2 live images clears that the phone has now a taller, slimmer display in a very compact form-factor once the lid is closed. This new design also makes the device look more like a phone as compared to its predecessor, which looked more like a tablet.

Talking about the display, As shown in the Galaxy Fold 2 live images, you can see that the device will be having a very vibrant Super AMOLED panel featuring a size of 6.7-inches with a hole-punch in the center which will be housing the front camera of the device. On the back, the Galaxy Fold 2 is sporting a dual-camera setup with an LED flash that can be used as a front camera if you fold your phone.

If you fold the phone, it shows a secondary display on the top that is a mere 1-inch in size, and it can be used as your always-on display. You can see the time and notifications on this display, and if you open your back camera, it will portray yourself on the secondary, which empowers you to take a more high-resolution selfie with your smartphone.

Now here comes the similarities which the Galaxy Fold 2 and the Motorola Razr 2019 shares. Both have a clamshell design, which enables them to use their back camera as a front for clicking more detailed and crisp selfies.

Talking about the configurations, you can see for yourself in the Galaxy Fold 2 live images that the phone features a USB Type-C port and no 3.5 mm headphone jack whatsoever. As Fold 2 shares a lot of similarity with the Motorola Razr 2019, it is expected that the specs of this device will also be upper mid-range just like its rival.

There are no confirmations yet about the launch date of the Samsung Galaxy Fold 2, but most probably, it will get launched alongside the Galaxy S11 series in February 2020.
