As we know, Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy Unpacked event is on its way on August 5th, which will hold the arrival of some of the most-awaited devices. Furthermore, we have the Galaxy Note 20 as the showstopper of the event and other devices such as Galaxy Buds too. But, Samsung shared a tweet on its official Twitter account on Sunday, teasing the Galaxy Fold 2 smartphone.
The South Korean giant Samsung posted a tweet on Sunday, which said, “One fold, infinite possibilities, Unpacked on August 5, 2020.” In this tweet, we can see the company mentioned the word fold, which hints at the launch of the Galaxy Fold 2. Furthermore, the tweet contains a small video that shows a blob of metal dropping that takes the shape of a butterfly.
So, there is a possibility that we can finally see the Galaxy Fold 2 smartphone at the Galaxy Unpacked event alongside the Galaxy Note 20 and the Galaxy Earbuds. Although, some renowned tipsters like Max Weinbach (XDA) have said before that Samsung would not release the Fold 2 at the Unpacked event. Moreover, according to Max, the Galaxy Z Fold 2 launch might get postponed to September. According to him, the software of the phone is still not complete, and there is no way that Samsung will launch the device anytime soon.
Also, the alleged renders of the upcoming Galaxy Z Fold 2 have recently leaked on the Chinese site Weibo. After appearing on Weibo, the renders were reshared by the renowned tipster Ice universe on his twitter account. So, without further ado, let’s talk about the renders.
The first image posted by IceUniverse is very blurry, followed by a slightly clear picture. It is still a bit cloudy, but we can check out the main highlights of the device. For instance, the camera setup of the Galaxy Fold 2 looks exactly like the Galaxy Note 20. But sadly, the exact set of sensors is not completely visible on the render.
Moreover, the renders showcase a large cover display likely to feature a 6.23-inch display with a resolution of 2267 x 819 pixels and a refresh rate of 60Hz. If this information is correct, then it would be a decent upgrade in comparison to the 4.6-inch display on the Galaxy Fold.
The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 2 will also arrive in a Mystic Bronze color variant, just like the Galaxy Note 20, Galaxy Buds Live, and Galaxy Watch 3. So, this is all we have for right now, but stay tuned for more updates.
