
Samsung, today at its ‘Life Unstoppable’ virtual event reveals the cheapest 5G smartphone in the market. The company officially debuts Galaxy A42 5G along with Galaxy Tab A7 2020.

According to Samsung, it is the most affordable 5G smartphone with a new rear layer gradient panel design. The rear panel of the device parted into four equal sections with four different color patterns.
The smartphone features a 6.6-inch Super AMOLED display with a water-drop notch at the center and surrounds by a slimmer bezel.
The company has only mentioned some of the specs of the Galaxy A42 5G for the time being.
The processor of the phone is yet to be revealed but it is rumored to be the Snapdragon 690 chipset with Adreno 619 GPU. The processor could be paired with 4GB RAM and 64/128GB storage.
In terms of optics, the device will have a rear quad-camera setup, but the configuration is clear. As per leaks, the Galaxy A42 5G may include a 48MP primary sensor and a 5MP depth sensor.
There are rumors that the phone will pack a 5,000mAh battery with 25W fast-charging support.
In terms of price, the company is yet to disclose it. However, it may cost less than Galaxy A51 5G, which costs around $399. It is clear that whether the South Korean company would launch this 5G device to India or not.
For the time being, the company says it will reveal more specs details in the future.
