As we know, the rivalry between the two budget kings Xiaomi and Realme is on its peak. Both companies are putting real efforts on their smartphones to stand out as the best. So far, we know that Realme is going to launch its Realme 6 series later this week. In response to that Xiaomi has dropped the release date of the Redmi Note 9 series.
In his official tweet, the Managing Director of Xiaomi India, Manu Kumar Jain confirmed the fact that the Redmi Note 9 series is set to launch on March 12 which is just a week after Realme 6 and 6 Pro. The rest information in the tweet is given below
If you don’t know, Xiaomi has set an official landing page for the forthcoming Redmi Note 9 series. The page shows you a sneak-peak at the aqua-colored 3D glass back panel which features a unique square quad-camera setup. Xiaomi has also posted a picture of the front panel which is not that much clear as of course, they want it to be a surprise. But if you look closely, you can see that the Redmi Note 9 might have a notch-less or a dual-punch hole display setup.
Speaking about the internals, the Redmi Note 9 could sport Qualcomm’s newly launched Snapdragon 720G but this is merely just an assumption so don’t take anything seriously. The camera system will be led by a 64MP sensor, similar to the Redmi Note 8 Pro. Also, the smartphone will have a USB Type-C port, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and speaker grille at the bottom, as seen in the teaser image shared by MD Manu Kumar Jain this morning.
The teasers also revealed that the Redmi Note 9 will have support for 27W fast charging out of the box, which is identical to the Poco X2 that was launched in India last month. The phone will be sold exclusively on Amazon India.
