Xiaomi’s Redmi expected to unveil the Redmi Note 8 in a Redmi Event in China. However, ahead of the launch on Redmi’s official Weibo page, a post shared that the handset will be powered by a Snapdragon 665 processor. It is a step ahead of the Snapdragon 660 SoC found on the Redmi Note 7S. Last week the company confirmed that the Redmi Note 8 Pro would come with Helio G90T chip from MediaTek and 64MP rear primary camera. 

Moreover, Redmi General Manager Lu Weibing shared some camera samples of Redmi Note 8. And he also confirmed that the handset supports the quad-camera setup. However, it will be packed with a 48-megapixel sensor for the primary camera, secondary Super Wide Angle, third will be a Depth of Field lens, and lastly, the fourth one will be a Super Macro lens.

Redmi took Weibo (a Chinese microblogging website launched by Sina Corporation) to reveal that the Redmi Note 8 will likewise include a quad rear cam setup lined up vertically and a dual-LED flash sitting next to the cameras.

Weibing has likewise shared camera samples on his Weibo account displaying the camera abilities of the Redmi Note 8. Taking a look at the photos, the Redmi Note 8 seems able to take excellent quality night shots without any loss of details. Weibing likewise validates that the Redmi Note 8 series will be geared up with a Super Night Scene Mode that will assist users in taking remarkable low-light pictures.

According to the post, Redmi Note 8 will be powered by Snapdragon 665 SoC paired with Adreno 610 GPU, a third-generation AIE artificial intelligence engine with Hexagon 686 DSP, and the Hexagon Vector Extension (HVX).

The Redmi Note 8 series is going to launch on August 29.
