Redmi K30 will feature "world’s first high-resolution image sensor"

Recently we have heard that Xiaomi is all set to launch its upcoming smartphone, the Redmi K30, in China on 10 December. Apart from the launch date, the company also revealed some key information regarding the smartphone.

However, Lu Weibing, Xiaomi Group Vice President, and Redmi Brand General Manager now revealed a new distinctive attribute of the phone. According to Mr. Weibing, the Redmi K30 will feature “world’s first high-resolution image sensor,” and detailed information about this will be unveiled on 10 December at the launch event.

Speaking of the Redmi K30 camera, we are not sure about which image sensor company going to equip. But according to what Lu Weibing said, it indicates that the K30 may feature the new image sensor by Sony- IMX686 because we already have seen the world’s first 108MP image sensor in Mi CC9 Pro (Mi Note 10).

The specs which are confirmed right now for the Redmi K30 are 5G dual-mode support, dual-punch display, and dual front camera. Apart from this, we will have to wait for the launch event on 10 December.

Redmi K30 Expected Specifications

According to leaks and rumors, these are the expected specs:

  • 6.66-inch FHD+ display
  • side-mounted fingerprint sensor
  • 120Hz refresh rate
  • Qualcomm’s 7-series processor
  • Sony IMX686 image sensor
  • Android 10 out of the box
  • MIUI 11
