Xiaomi’s Redmi K30 5G smartphone showed up on a website named JD.com with a chipset called Snapdragon 768G, earlier today. At first, everyone thought that it was a typo and ignored the chipset, but a tipster named @xianjingmaoxian recently revealed that the chipset name is not a typo and posted the entire specifications of the chipset.
According to the tipster, the chipset is an official one and will probably arrive with Xiaomi’s upcoming smartphone. Given the information he provided on twitter, the Snapdragon 768 G is an octa-core chipset with cluster arrangement similar to the Snapdragon 765G. Although the clock speed of both the chipset is different.
The CPU consists of two powerful cores clocked at 2.8GHz and 2.4GHz with a power-efficient cluster made of six cores clocked at 1.8GHz. The GPU will be the same Adreno 620 clocked at 750MHz, instead of 625MHz like the Snapdragon 765G. So, its safe to say that the Snapdragon 768G will offer 10% more improvement compared to its predecessors.
According to the tipster, the Snapdragon 768G scored around 360,000 on the AnTuTu benchmark, which is a pretty decent score. But there is no official proof of the benchmark, so we can’t confirm this situation.
If you don’t know, there are still two more smartphones remaining in the Redmi K30 lineup, which includes a budget Redmi K30i and an unanticipated smartphone. The unanticipated smartphone will be known as Redmi K30 5G Speed Edition (Extreme Edition). Not only that, but the smartphone will also feature the undisclosed Snapdragon 768G chipset.
