Qualcomm will announce its Snapdragon 775G chipset on June 17

The leading US chipmaker giant Qualcomm has finally announced the launch date of its upcoming Snapdragon 775G chipset. According to Tencent’s QQ news, Qualcomm will host a new Snapdragon launch event this coming June 17. Also, the Snapdragon 775G is the successor of the earlier launched mid-range 5G chipset Snapdragon 765G. So, let’s talk about the Snapdragon 775G briefly.

According to the news, the Snapdragon 775G is the newest addition in the Snapdragon 7 mid-range chipsets. Also, It will ship on a limited scale in mid-June. Now, let’s talk about the performance of this chipset. The Snapdragon 775G comes with a 40% improvement in CPU performance and a 50% performance boost in the GPU area. It also features Vulkan’s API support.

This new chipset from Qualcomm will arrive with a model number of Qualcomm SM7350 and will replace its predecessor, the Snapdragon 765G. Like its predecessor, the Snapdragon 775G will also be a mid-range 5G chipset that will be used in many upcoming smartphones. Although, some reports state that Xiaomi is currently testing the Snapdragon 775G for its forthcoming Mi CC10 smartphone.

If Xiaomi used this chipset on its upcoming smartphone, then they could become the first company to sport this Qualcomm Snapdragon 775G chipset. Still, we can’t decide that now till we get some confirmation from the company itself. So, wait for the launch event on June 17 and stay tuned for more updates.
