Open Beta build based on Android 10 for Oneplus 7

After the release of Android 10 for Pixel devices, Essential Phone, and Redmi K20 Pro, OnePlus has made the update available. Those who have OnePlus 7 or OnePlus 7 Pro will get the very first Open Beta build based on Android 10.

In a forum post, OnePlus announced the Oxygen OS Open Beta 1 for the OnePlus 7 series with the same features of Android 10 on Pixel devices. It includes new gesture navigation, dark mode along with few new Oxygen OS features.

    • Added a bottom navigation bar to allow switching left or right for recent apps
  • Game Space
    • New Game Space feature now joins all your favorite games in one place for easier access and better gaming experience
  • Smart display
    • Supported intelligent info based on specific times, locations and events for Ambient Display (Settings – Display – Ambient Display – Smart Display)
  • Message
    • Now possible to block spam by keywords for Message (Messages – Spam – Settings -Blocking settings)

An OTA to this Open Beta should be provided in the next few hours for those who are running Android Q Developer Preview on OnePlus 7 series phones. Download links for the OTA ZIP files for both OnePlus 7 Pro and OnePlus 7 are given below.

For updating all you have to do is download the ZIP files provided above, copy it to your phone storage. Then navigate to Settings > System > System Updates > menu > Local upgrade and choose the ZIP file which you copied to your phone storage.
