CES 2020: NVIDIA and ASUS together launched ASUS ROG Swift 360 the world’s first 360Hz G-Sync monitor

ASUS ROG Swift 360 the world's first 360Hz G-Sync monitor

At CES 2020, Nvidia and Asus together have launched the world’s first 360Hz G-Sync monitor Asus ROG Swift 360. With 360Hz refresh rate seems like overkill, as this monitor is designed with e-sports and competitive gaming in mind. To take full advantage of this display, you will need a powerful GPU.

The Asus ROG Swift 360 has a display size of24.5-inch with a resolution of 1080p, and the panel used is supplied by AU Optronics. However, the company didn’t provide much details about the panel, but as all 24.5-inch 240Hz G-Sync monitors which are in the market now use TN panel so, it could be the same for it also.

The 360Hz refresh rate of the monitor improves target tracking with smoother animations in games. According to NVIDIA, frames will be displayed every 2.8ms, making the game more precise and responsive to superhuman reflex. In comparison with regular displays or TVs, it is six times faster.

Moreover, NVIDIA has mentioned that it uses an advanced G-Sync processor to reduce ghosting with custom-tuned dynamic override. That’s the reason why it could.

The company claims that the monitor’s improvement will be 37% better than that of 240Hz market leader monitors meaning better accuracy with flick shots in games.

However, there is no information about the pricing and availability of the Asus ROG Swift 360.
