As the New Year dawns upon us, every Smartphone manufacturer is shifting towards new technologies and new designs for their upcoming smartphones. One such technology is 5G, you have heard that every major smartphone manufacturer has started production for its devices with 5G connectivity.
Whether it be Samsung Galaxy S11, which is a flagship smartphone, or even Xiaomi’s devices that are in the mid-range segment, most manufacturers are working on providing this new internet technology at its best. Talking about the availability of this feature gaming phone, the Vivo iQOO Pro 5G was the first gaming-centric smartphone that has to be launched with 5G data connectivity. Not only that, but this upcoming offering by Nubia will also have support for dual 5G mode.
It looks like Nubia is not late for the party also, today the company revealed a poster that stated that the upcoming Red Magic by Nubia will have 5G support. The poster also revealed that the upcoming Red Magic 5G will be running Qualcomm’s upcoming Snapdragon 865 chipset, which is an octa-core processor based on Kryo™ 485 CPU clocked at 2.84 GHz. Due to the Qualcomm® Snapdragon™ X55 modem, the Red Magic will support 5G data connectivity.
The integration of the X55 modem means that the Nubia Red Magic in the home market will support Stand Alone (SA) and Non-Stand Alone (NSA) 5G networks, and not only that, the upcoming offering. The thing with 5G connectivity is that there are many countries where 5G is not supported. So to deal with this issue, Nubia will launch the 4G variant of this device in countries where 5G is yet supported.
Well, that was the information available through the poster launched by the company on Weibo. As of now, we can’t say anything more about the device as the company has not revealed anything apart from the things mentioned above. You may not have to wait longer for the launch as it could get launched in the first quarter of the year.
