Nubia Red Magic 5G to come up with a 144Hz display!

As we are gradually moving in the year 2020, a tren has come in smartphones, and that is enhancing the display refresh rate, which increases the smoothness and fluidity of the phone. Till now, we have seen displays with up to 120Hz of refresh rate, which was featured in the ROG 2.

The 120Hz refresh rate on the ROG 2 was a big thing as it gave the display that amount of smoothness and responsiveness, which was never experienced before in smartphones. For the people who fancy the higher refresh rate displays in mobile phones like us, we have news for you!

Nubia Red Magic 5G to come up with a 144Hz display!

The upcoming Nubia Red Magic 5G phone by Nubia will have a staggering 144Hz refresh rate display! This news was confirmed by the President of Nubia Mr. Ni Fei itself on Weibo. In the tweet, he shared a screenshot of the Red Magic 5G, and on that, he has the display settings opened. You can see clearly that it has various refresh rate options starting from 60Hz, 90Hz, 120Hz, and then the highest 144Hz!

Ni Fei About Nubia Red Magic 5G

With this amount of refresh rate, you can expect a stellar gaming performance for the upcoming Nubia Red Magic 5G. According to the reports, the Red Magic 5G will be running the upcoming Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 SoC, and this chip will be a necessity if you want to use that amount of refresh rate on a mobile display.

In simple words, if a display of a high refresh rate is paired up with a mid-range chipset, you are bound to face stutters and FPS drop. For e.g. the upcoming K30 by Redmi has an impressive 120Hz refresh rate, but it is fueled by the Snapdragon 730G chipset, which is a mid-ranger.

The outcome of which is that you will encounter minor stutters and FPS drops while using the phone, and that is a huge turnoff when you are at this amount of refresh rate! But none of this is going to be a problem on the Red Magic 5G as it is rumored to be running the upcoming flagship-grade chip!
