Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra 5G is the first phone launched with 16GB RAM a few days age. Rumors are also there that the Xiaomi Mi 10 Pro will also have a 16GB RAM variant, but limited to 12GB RAM only. Now, Nubia revealed that the upcoming Red Magic 5G will have 16GB of RAM.
Ni Fei, President of Nubia Technology, had polled the audience on Weibo if 16Gb is necessary on a device or not. The poll result showed that the people want 16GB of RAM device. Now, based on the outcome, Nubia assured that there will be a 16GB of RAM in the upcoming Red Magic 5G smartphone.
Moreover, the above Weibo post also includes a screenshot of the upcoming Red Magic 5G’s about the phone menu, which confirms the 16GB RAM variant with some other pieces of information. Nubia also confirms that the next device will have LPDDR5 RAM.
The screenshot of Nubia Red Magic reveals the model number NX659J. The device runs on version 3.0 Redmagic OS based on Android 10 with January 2020 security patch.
The screen also reveals the 16GB RAM version with 256GB of storage, and we expect that it may have higher internal storage options like 512GB storage. The company confirmed previously that the upcoming device will have Snapdragon 865 process with X55 5G modem and the same we can see in the screenshot.
Apart from these, the Nubia Red Magic will have a 144Hz refresh rate display with an option to choose from 60Hz to 144Hz, triple camera setup, WiFi 6, and built-in cooling fan.
So far, due to Coronavirus concern, the upcoming global launch of Red Magic 5G at MWC has canceled, and the company will soon announce a new date for the launch.
