Just like the Mi TV Stick, Mi Box 4K and Amazon Fire TV Stick, Nokia has launched its Media Streamer box with a dedicated remote. It is made and launched by Flipkart, which is now owned by Walmart. Moreover, this product is part of a strategic relationship with Nokia. So, without further ado, let’s talk about the features of the Nokia Media Streamer.
Under the hood, the Nokia Media Streamer comes with 1GB RAM and 8GB of in-built storage coupled with a quad-core processor and Mali 450 GPU. It runs on Android 9 Pie and offers support for dual-band WiFi, which means you can connect to both 2.4GHz and 5GHz networks. In terms of display, the Nokia Media Streamer offers only Full HD resolution (1920×1080) at 60 frames per second.
There’s also a dedicated remote with the Nokia Media Streamer, which comes with dedicated buttons for Google Assistant, Zee5, and Netflix. Other buttons include power, volume control, and navigation. You can also use voice search as the remote is voice-enabled.
Furthermore, the device comes with built-in support for Chromecast through which users can connect the screen of their smartphone to a TV. Similar to the other streaming devices like Mi Box, it allows users to change their traditional TV sets into a smart TV economically.
The price and availability of the Nokia Media Streamer are currently priced at ₹3,499 ($47) and will be up for purchase on Flipkart starting from August 28.
