MSI GS66 Stealth and GE66 Raider laptops – 300Hz display and huge 99.9Wh battery!

MSI, which is a renowned name in Gaming Hardware manufacturers at CES has recently introduced its two new laptops with a staggering 300Hz refresh rate and a whopping 99.9Wh battery. The laptops are called MSI GS66 Stealth and MSI GE66 Raider.

Talking about the configurations, both the MSI GS66 Stealth and GE66 Raider are to be equipped by processors up to Intel Core-i9 H-series based on the 10th generation process which is an Octa-core processor, 16 threads and clocked up to 5.0GHz. About the graphics card, MSI said that the laptops will be running Nvidia’s latest RTX GPUs but the generation and other specs are still unknown.

MSI GS66 Stealth

Taking a look at RAM configurations, MSI GS66 Stealth and MSI GE66 Raider both are expected to be having 32 gigs of RAM. For storage, both of these laptops are likely to have a maximum option of 2TB PCIe SSD.

Now addressing the Elephant in the room i.e. the 300 Hz refresh rate display and a 99.9Wh battery. Both of these features will be available on both the MSI GS66 Stealth and the GE66 Raider respectively.

Generally speaking, if you have a display that has the capability of a 300 Hz refresh rate then a huge amount of battery backup is a must-have thing. The 99.9Wh of the battery will play a huge role when you will be using the laptop casually or playing games at that staggering 300 Hz of refresh rate.

MSI GE66 Raider

As you have seen with mobile phones recently, a higher refresh rate results in higher battery consumption. MSI did a pretty good job with the battery provided on both the MSI GS66 Stealth and the GE66 Raider. With the 99.9Wh of a lithium-ion battery, you are just below the Federal Aviation Administration’s 100Wh limit of battery on flights.

Talking about the design, there are a few key differences between the GS66 and the GE66. The GS66 Stealth has a smooth, ergonomic design which includes a black shell with the MSI logo on the top.

On the other hand, the GE66 Raider has a sophisticated and more elaborated design with a different kind of shade towards it i.e. called “panoramic aurora lighting”. This new shade makes the Raider capable to produce light from the bottom side of it.

You can easily take your MSI laptop with you on a flight and use it for some gaming when you are flying high in the sky! Talking about the price at which both the MSI GS66 Stealth and the GE66 Raider will come is under covers as of now. But concerning the 300 Hz refresh rate and 99.9Wh of battery, the price for both of these laptops will be high enough.
