The Surface Neo features two 9-inch touch displays that are joined by a 360-degree hinge. Thus, giving the users with two options to use the device two displays side-by-side or one at a time. It is 5.6mm thick on each side and it weighs around 655 grams. Microsoft claimed that the device features the “thinnest LCD ever created” which is protected by Gorilla Glass.
The Surface Neo is equipped with the Surface Pen which can magnetically be attached at the back and comes with a USB-C port. The Stylus Pen can also be charged wirelessly by placing it at the rear. The most exciting part of the device is the keyboard attachment– when you dock a keyboard on the bottom half of one of the screen, the device detects it, giving an experience similar to ASUS Zenbook Pro Duo. The keyboard can be attached to the top half of the screen to make room for the virtual touchpad.
The company also shows the multi-tasking ability of the device with usage of apps between the screens or using both screens at the same time for an app.
Microsoft didn’t mention any more details except that it is powered by an Intel Lakefield hybrid processor and runs on a particular version of Windows 10 known as Windows 10X which is specially developed dual-screen devices. However, for additional info, we will need to wait till next year.
