Xiaomi has organized an event on 24 September where the company will be launching a few products, including Mi 9 Pro 5G, the MIX Alpha, Mi TV Pro and the MIUI 11.

Today Xiaomi shared a new post on Weibo which confirms that the Mi MIX Alpha will feature a 100MP camera sensor. The company’s highest camera sensor right now is 64MP but will be replaced by MIX Alpha 100MP sensor.
The Mi MIX Alpha will be equipped with the Samsung ISOCELL bright HMX camera sensor that supports 108MP resolution. Xiaomi’s second partnership after the 64MP sensor used in Redmi Note 8 Pro.
The post on Weibo includes some sample photos taken by using the Mi MIX Alpha. The resolution of the photo taken is 12032 x 9024 and about 40MB in size. The company claims that the photo will retain its details and clarity even after 8x zoom.
