As in our previous article, we told you that Xiaomi would be among the very first companies to launch the Snapdragon 865 processor. Recently the co-founder and chairman of the company, Mr. Lei Jun confirmed the fact that Xiaomi will launch the Mi 10 which is going to be powered by the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 chipset in the first quarter of the year 2020.
He also stated that the company will keep the trend of launching its flagship devices with Qualcomm’s latest flagship chipset. For instance, the Mi 9 was powered by the Snapdragon 855 SoC and the Mi MIX 2S was powered by the Snapdragon 845 SoC. So far Xiaomi has sold over 427 million units of smartphones which were powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon chipsets.
Lei also talked about the 5G trend and said that Xiaomi is planning to launch at least 10 5G smartphones this year.
According to the leaks, the Mi 10 is going to have a 6.5 inch OLED display with a refresh rate of 90Hz. As mentioned above the processor in this smartphone will be Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 865 SoC with 5G support.
The smartphone will come with a 12GB RAM variant and will be provided in three internal storage options – 128GB, 256GB, and 512GB. This smartphone will have a quad-camera setup with a 108MP main sensor along with a 48MP sensor, a 12MP sensor, and an 8 MP sensor. The recent reports tell that it is going to have a 4500 mAH battery with support for 48W fast charging.
However, the Pro version of Mi 10 will support up to 65W fast charging. The smartphone will be running on Xiaomi’s latest MIUI 11 UI with Android 10.
