According to the leaks, the Helio G70 will be a processor designed for lower and mid-range devices. Clocked at 2.0 GHz this MediaTek processor will be an Octa-core chip with a specification of 2 cores and 6 cores. Talking about the GPU, Helio G70 will be running Mali-G52 MC2 GPU with the 8 cores on the chip.
The two cores are based on Cortex-A75 and are clocked at 2.0 GHz while the other six cores are based on Cortex-A55 and are clocked at 1.7 or 1.8 GHz. The G70 will be a bit better in performance if compared to the P60 and it will be used in the budget devices.
The first device that is rumored to come up with this chip is Xiaomi’s upcoming Redmi 9. This upcoming addition to the Redmi lineup will be running the MediaTek Helio G70 with 3 and 4 gigs of RAM.
Talking about the display, the Redmi 9 will be featuring a 6.6-inches display with a water-drop notch. The battery is rumored to be same as the Redmi 8 i.e. 5,000mAh and it will get launched in the first quarter of the year 2020.
