The Taiwanese chipmaker giant MediaTek has announced another addition to its latest G-series chipset lineup today. The new chipset goes by the name Helio G95, which, according to MediaTek, is its “most powerful smartphone gaming-focused chip.” So, without further ado, let’s talk about the Helio G95 chipset.
First, let’s talk about the CPU and GPU. The Helio G95 is an octa-core chipset that comes with 2x Cortex-A76 CPUs clocked at 2.05GHz and six Cortex-A55 low power CPUs. It comes with Arm Mali-G76 MC4 GPU with a max frequency of 900MHz.
Second, let’s talk about the camera. The Helio G95 chipset offers support for up to four cameras with a primary 64MP camera at 22.5fps, 48MP at 30fps, 24MP+16MP at 30fps. Some other camera features include AI Face Detection, HW depth engine; 3X ISP; AINR; Single-Cam/Dual-Cam Bokeh; Hardware Warping Engine (EIS); Multi-Frame Noise reduction; Rolling Shutter Compensation (RSC) engine; and MEMA 3DNR.
Third, let’s talk about the internals. The Helio G95 chipset offers support for LPDDR4x RAM with a maximum frequency of 2133MHz. Also, for storage, you get a UFS 2.1 storage with eMMC 5.1. Moreover, it also comes with an enhanced MediaTek’s HyperEngine technology, which will optimize various aspects of CPU, GPU, and RAM along with connectivity to provide you delightful gaming experience.
MediaTek has said that the first smartphones with its Helio G95 chipset will be making their way to the markets in September. So, stay tuned for more updates.
