Today, the Chinese chip giant MediaTek announced its new 5G flagship chipset, the Dimensity 1000+, at an online press conference event. This new chipset from MediaTek comes with a lot of enhancements and a higher refresh rate. Not only that, but the Dimension 1000+ chipset also comes with features like UltraSave technologies, HyperEngine 2.0, and MiraVision Picture Quality Engine support.
MediaTek Dimension 1000+ chipset supports up to 144Hz refresh rate panels, which is 2.4 times faster per second than a standard 60Hz display found on most of the smartphones. According to MediaTek, HyperEngine 2.0 technology enhances the smartphone’s gaming performance with the help of three engines, which are Resource Management Engine, an upgraded Networking Engine, and a Rapid Response Engine.
The Resource Management Engine ensures fluid performance in gaming with low power consumption, while the upgraded Networking Engine enables call and data concurrency. Meanwhile, the Rapid Response Engine helps in creating a lag-free gaming experience with the multi-peripheral concurrence to get rid of any possible conflicts.
Apart from the gaming, the MediaTek Dimension 1000+ chipset also comes with a much more optimized 5G network experience with fewer interruptions during voice and video calls. The chipset can detect various tasks and switch networks based on them. For example – if you are gaming, the smartphone will switch to a 5G network, and if the smartphone is on standby, it will switch to a 4G network. There is a new technology called 5G UltraSave technology, which helps in saving the battery even while using 5G networks. According to MediaTek, this new SoC drains about 48 percent less power than other chipsets.
The latest MiraVision technology enhances picture quality and brings video playback improvements as well. The engine provides real-time frame adjustments to the dynamic range and details of streams and 4K videos. It also helps in logically updating SDR videos and stream them in HDR quality. Also, it claims to offer superior picture quality than normal HDR10+.
Apart from this, the new chipset also comes with low latency and anti-jamming technology. MediaTek has said that a forthcoming launch with the Chinese OEM iQOO could be on its way.
