Form last few months, there have been constant leaks of the Huawei P40 lineup confirming the design of almost all the models in the lineup, and the company may unveil the series anytime from now onwards. After the P40 lineup, Huawei would be revealing its next flagship smartphone series, Mate 40.
Recently, a set concept renders of Huawei Mate 40 poped out online. The renders envision a design that looks futuristic a lot more than the Xiaomi Alpha. According to the renders, the device is equipped with a slightly grey transparent screen displaying time and date info at the top and quick operations such as the camera at the bottom. The concept renders also shows that the device will support wireless charging and may ditch wired charging.
Unlike today’s typical smartphones, we can not see the camera, and the buttons, battery, and other components in this concept render, which means they are just concealed under the screen. Currently, this phone is still tough to accomplish, unless the camera is abandoned, and a new energy supply solution is found.
However, we have doubts if such a concept will be used in the future though transparent screen smartphones will end up being popular unless and until OEMs find a way to use it in smartphones. So, for now, the concept is unrealistic.
