Creating a 3D image is common nowadays, without depending upon high-end smartphones. Lucid, a company, has introduced its new app at CES 2020– LucidPix that lets you generate 3D images without any need for additional sensors.
According to the source, LucidPix uses the contextual AI, which the company named as ” 3D Fusion Technology”. Moreover, this app also lets you create a 2D image that you have previously captured into 3D. Images will move as you scroll down or tilt your phone. You can also share the created images on social media or directly to a friend.
Han Jin, founder & Lucid CEO stated,
The way consumers express themselves digitally and visually has evolved more and more to what we naturally see with our own eyes with depth. Thus, over the past few years, the visual medium has become more multidimensional, leading to more portrait photos, 3D content, and AR and VR being created
For the accurate results, the company worked over the past several years, evolving its 3D Fusion Technology, and the deep learning model goes through 100 million images.
Apart from capturing and converting the images into 3D, this app also provides over 50 Fun 3D Frames to choose from.
LucidPix is available for both Android and iOS. For now, the app is only available in the Beta version on Google Play Store and Apple Store. The full version of the app will be rolled out in the Q2 of 2020. Download links are below for both the Android and iOS respectively.
