Logitech is one of the renowned companies in computer peripherals. Moreover, Logitech’s MX Master series of wireless mice are among the best mouse to buy. Recently, the company has launched the MX Master 3 wireless mouse in India.
The Mx Master 3 wireless mouse is the successor of MX Master 2S.
In terms of design, the MX Master 3 looks similar to the other mice in the Master series. The company claims that MX Master 3 has designed to support both the user’s hand and wrist.
Unlike the MX Master 2S, it is an eight-button mouse with a large thumb wing on the right. It has two control panels on top, a clickable scroll wheel and a button just below the wheel to manually switch between precision and free-wheeling speeds. On the other hand, it has two macro buttons, a second scroll wheel, and a special “gesture” on the top. The last works on a keyboard like a function key, giving you four additional inputs while holding down the gesture button and pushing the mouse up, down, left, or right.
The all-new MagSpeed Electromagnetic scrolling is precise enough to scroll 1000 lines in a second on a pixel and fast sufficient to scroll in and is super quiet. The company claims that it’s 90-percent faster and 87-percent more precise.
Under the hood, the MX Master 3 still uses the long-running Darkfield sensor from Logitech, which tracks up to 4,000 dots per inch (dpi) and is reportedly able to detect movement on any surface including glass.
With the outstanding design and performance, the MX Master 3 also has impressive battery life. As per the company, with a single charge, it will last 70 days. In fact, just charging for 1 minute, when it is fully exhausted, can gain three hours of use.
The mouse uses a Bluetooth or 2.4GHz network to connect wirelessly. But, the most impressive thing in the MX Master 3 is the USB-C port for charging placed strategically at the front so that you can plug it into your computer and use it as a wired mouse while charging.
The mouse supports three separate wireless channels, so you can instantly attach up to three devices to the mouse and adjust the active device on the fly through a small switch at the mouse’s underside. (One device might be connected via the dongle, others via Bluetooth.)
Moreover, MX Master 3 can pair with the MX series configuration software, which helps you to change the inputs. The software will allow you to specific app customizations, new pre-made customs setups for the frequently used apps like Google Chrome, Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Suite, and more. The presets are based on past MX Master mouse user setups, and if you don’t like the presets, you can opt your own.
Additional option Flow is also given, which is the cross-platform control tool. Flow allows you to connect to several devices and move your mouse simultaneously from one device to another, as if the second device were an extra display. It also supports basic functions between devices, such as transferring files and copy-and-paste text from one device to another connected to the Flow. It operates across all platforms, including Windows, macOS, Linux, iOS, and Android.
The Logitech MX Master 3 prices Rs. 9,495 in India and is available on Amazon.
I think MX Master 3 is a powerful mouse for both creative and general use. Let us know your views about this in the comment section.
