Starting April, LG has created a hype around its upcoming LG Velvet smartphone, to replace its G-lineup. Previously, it was expected that the upcoming smartphone from LG will be announced on 15 May. However, a new official video on YouTube confirms that the LG Velvet will go official on 7 May.
LG has shared a 15-seconds short video teaser on YouTube and Facebook, which is a Digital Unveiling Invitation of the LG Velvet. Just like the previous video teaser, this teaser shows the design and mainly focuses on the raindrop camera design. In this video, we can see raindrops in four different colors to form the waterdrop camera, which suggests its color variants- Aurora White, Velvet Sunset, Aurora Green, Aurora Grey.
At the end of the video teaser, 7 May, the launch date appears. The launch will be done via online event, which will be live-streamed on LG official YouTube and Facebook accounts at 10 AM KST (Korean Standard Time).
From the previous video teaser, we come to know that the Snapdragon 765G processor will power the upcoming LG Velvet.
LG Velvet, for those uninformed, will include a curved glass design where the back panel will flawlessly meet the curved edges of the display screen. The display of the device also features a waterdrop notch for the front camera and an in-display fingerprint sensor.
The rear panel of the phone will have a raindrop design triple camera on the top-left corner.
Moreover, the phone has an additional button that could be for voice assistant as per rumors. At the top, there is a mic along with SIM card slot and Type-C port, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and speaker grills on the bottom.
As per rumors, the phone may carry a 4,000mAh battery and a 48MP primary sensor.
