Let’s see what the latest smartphone from LG has to offer us.
LG Velvet features and Specs
The LG Velvet is the very first LG phone to include a new design. It is curved on both sides, is available in quite cool colors, and keeps the weight under 200 grams (180 grams to be accurate). We want LG to drop the waterdrop notch, which it has actually excessively used currently.
LG Velvet sports a 6.8-inch Full-HD+ OLED show with curved edges on both sides. The display screen boasts a 20.5:9 aspect ratio and 2340 × 1080-pixel resolution. The display of the phone is incorporated with a fingerprint sensor.
Under the hood, the phone is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 765G processor. The phone is packed with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage and supports microSD up to 1TB.
In terms of optics, the LG Velvet’s rear raindrop shaped triple camera includes a 48MP primary sensor with OIS support, an 8MP Ultra-wide angle lens, and a 5MP depth sensor.
In the front, the notch houses a 16MP camera for the selfie.
In terms of Audio, LG has added features like Voice-out Focus and ASMR Recording. You can also adjust background noise and the voice while recording a video.
The phone packs a 4,300mAh battery with fast charging support and 10W wireless charging. There is a USB Type-C, 3.5mm headphone jack, NFC, and Bluetooth 5.0.
The LG velvet will run on LG’s custom skin based on Android 10.
Another premium feature of the phone is its stylus assistance. This is not the kind of stylus that ships with LG’s Stylo series; however, a Wacom Stylus with 4096 pressure levels for note-taking, drawing, and more. This has to be purchased separately along with the LG Dual Screen accessory.
The LG velvet has been priced at 899,800 Won (~$735) (Rs. 55,745). The phone comes in four color options- Aurora White, Aurora Gray, Illusion Sunset, and Aurora Green.
The phone will be for pre-order from tomorrow and will be going on sale from 15 May.
The global release of the phone is questionable right now.
