We have been hearing a lot of rumors regarding how LG is discontinuing the G-series. But in reply to that, LG has today shared the looks of its upcoming smartphone, which could be the rumored replacement for the G-series smartphones. It is reported to arrive on 15 May.
LG Electronics has gone with a new minimalistic design for its upcoming smartphone, rather than the similar design they have been using on its G-series smartphones. The new design on the upcoming smartphone features a “Raindrop” camera design with front and back symmetrical curved edges.
The Raindrop camera design on the upcoming smartphone resembles falling raindrops in a symmetrical order. It consists of a triple-camera setup shaped in a raindrop style layout symmetrically arranged in descending order at the top left corner of the smartphone. As you move from top to bottom, the camera lens cutout decreases in size.
Another major highlight of the upcoming smartphone from LG is the 3D Arc Design. In this design, the edges of the display and the rear are symmetrically curved, giving the smartphone a much more natural feel than the previous LG smartphones. The 3D Arc Design is less sharp on the edges and the curves, which makes the smartphone much more comfortable to hold.
The Head of LG’s Mobile Communications Design Lab, Cha Yong-Duk, said,
Our upcoming smartphone will draw on the rich history of classic LG designs which have always been distinctive at first touch.” He further said, “This handset will be a first-look at the competitive edge we will be bringing to every LG smartphone going forward.
According to the looks of the upcoming smartphone, we can say that this smartphone is going to have a bezel-less display with curved edges. But without any official confirmation from the company itself, we can’t assure you that. So, take this information as a pinch of salt and stay tuned for more updates.
