LG has made some remarkable monitors under the UltraGear brand in the past, but this time, the South Korean company has leveled up. LG has launched the world’s first 4K IPS gaming monitor with a 1ms gray-to-gray (GTG) response time. LG’s UltraGear 27GN950 offers much powerful performance, especially for gamers. So without further ado, let’s talk about the configurations.
First, let’s talk about the display. The LG UltraGear 27GN950 comes with a 27-inch 4K nano IPS display with a resolution of 3840 × 2160 pixels and an aspect ratio of 16:9. It offers a refresh rate of up to 144Hz, 1000:1 contrast ratio, and 1ms Gray-to-Gray (GTG) response time. Moreover, the monitor comes with a certification for AMD FreeSync Premium Pro, and it’s also G-Sync compatible.
Furthermore, the display supports 10-bit color depth for a total of 1.07 billion colors and covers 98% of the DCI–P3 color space. It features a natural brightness of 400 nits with VESA’s DisplayHDR 600 certification. Also, it has both HDMI and DisplayPort inputs. So, if you use the DisplayPort, you can get a 4K video with 10-bit color at 144Hz with a single cable, thanks to VESA display stream compression.
For connectivity, it features two HDMI ports, one DisplayPort, a USB downstream and an upstream port, and lastly, a headphone out port. At the back, it features sphere lighting, which is customizable. Moreover, it also comes with features like Flicker Safe, Black Stabilizer, Dynamic Action, and Smart Energy Saving.
Now, let’s talk about price and availability. The LG UltraGear 27GN950 is priced at $799.99 (approx 59,800 Indian Rupees) and is currently on sale in key markets of Asia, North America, Europe, etc. But sadly, there is no information available about the Indian market right now. So, stay tuned for more updates.
