Lenovo is all set to enter into a highly competitive mobile gaming market segment this year with the Legion gaming brand. The company today reveals that Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 865 processor will power its first-ever gaming smartphone.
In an official post on Weibo, Lenovo confirmed that its first-ever gaming smartphone will be powered by the latest Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 865 processor and will be under Lenovo Legion brand.
Although, the official post didn’t mention further information about the upcoming device apart from the processor. However, as per the caption, the company wants to deliver a powerful end-gaming flagship smartphone, which will live up to the expectation of the users, especially gamers.
Talking the processor, Snapdragon 865 is now one of the best mobile processors in the market. The 7nm octa-core processor includes four ARM cortex-A77 based on Kyro 585. The Andreno 650 is a powerful GPU to satisfy the graphics needs. The CPU offers 25-percent faster performance and better power efficiency, whereas the GPU has a 20-percent faster graphics rendering and better-sustained performance than its predecessors. The processor supports up to 8K resolution shoot, QHD+ display at 144Hz refresh rate, HDR10, HDR10+, Rec2020.
