As we know, Lenovo is all geared up to launch its first Legion branded gaming smartphone this year. The company has been posting a lot of teasers to generate the hype for its first gaming smartphone before its official announcement. Lenovo posted a teaser poster of 90W fast charging on the Legion gaming smartphone last month. To confirm this news, they posted on Weibo, saying that they are not playing a numbers game here. Lenovo even hinted there would more than one first-generation Legion smartphone model.
According to XDA developers, they have found some “unreleased teaser videos” that reveal the noticeable design elements and some key specifications of the upcoming Legion gaming smartphone. One of the videos features the 90W fast charging of the smartphone that can juice up your device from 0 to 100% in just 30 minutes. Another video shows that the smartphone will come with a massive 5,000mAh dual-cell unit. The sad part about the smartphone is that there will be no 3.5mm headphone jack.
The report says that the camera on the smartphone will be a dual-camera setup at the rear, including a 64-megapixel primary sensor and a 16-megapixel wide-angle lens. But the biggest highlight about the camera on this gaming smartphone is the pop-up front camera module. Usually, the pop-up camera module on other smartphones is on top by default, but here it is mounted on the side.
According to the reports, the gaming smartphone will come with LPDDR5 RAM and UFS 3.0 internal storage. The display will be an FHD+ panel with a resolution of 2340×1080 pixels and a touch sampling rate of 270Hz. It will be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 865 SoC coupled with a 5000mAh battery with support for 90W fast charging. Out of the box, the smartphone will run on Android 10 with Legion OS.
The codename given to this gaming smartphone from Lenovo is MOBA, and the model number is L79031. Lenovo has confirmed the information that the first-generation Legion gaming smartphone will sport a notch-less display and will have a second USB Type-C port on the side for gamers.
