Well, for the people who are waiting for the launch of Nokia’s next-gen Pureview, you may have to wait till late 2020. The launch for the upcoming Nokia’s flagship phone that is rumored to be Nokia 9.2 Pureview has been delayed because of a major processor up-gradation.
This piece of information was tweeted by a reliable source (Nokia Anew) in terms of Nokia via Twitter. According to him, Nokia 9.2 Pureview will come up with the upcoming Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 chipset instead of the Snapdragon 855, which was rumored. As a result, the launch of the device has been delayed until Autumn of the year 2020.
With this new piece of information, we can conclude that the upcoming Nokia flagship may have support for 5G connectivity as it will come with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 that has a 5G modem integration. Snapdragon 865 is an octa-core processor built on 7nm FINFET technology integrated with an Adreno 650 GPU.
Apart from the processor, the delay may also result in the camera-enhancement for the device. The original Nokia 9 Pureview featured a Penta-camera setup, and it looks like the next-gen smartphone will also have five cameras inbuilt but with a much better configuration than its predecessors.
Snapdragon 865 will play an important role in enhancing the camera performance of the Pureview as it enables support for clicking 200MP or 64MP single photo with Zero Shutter Lag. Not only that, but it also grants support for features like recording videos up to 8K @ 30fps, 4K UHD @ 120fps, 720p @ 960fps.
Judging by the units sold, Nokia Anew has updated a list of the most popular Nokia devices for the year 2019. Nokia 7.2 topped the list and is followed by Nokia 9 Pureview, Nokia 6.2, Nokia 7.1, Nokia 4.2, and Nokia 2.2. Still, we are saying there are no confirmations by Nokia on this information by the source.
