The Huawei Mate X 5G will be available in a single variant of 8GB RAM + 512GB internal storage and will cost 16,999 Yuan ($2403). The price of Huawei Mate X 5G makes it costlier than the previously released Galaxy Fold, which is available in multiple markets now across the globe. However, the response received by Mate X for its folding design is quite positive.
The Huawei Mate X 5G will go on sale at 10:08 on 15 November initially in limited quantities in China market. Moreover, the company also offers a 50-percent discount on repair and replacements related to screen issue.
Huawei is stated to have utilized a double-layer polyimide product for the foldable screen that increases strength by approximately 40 percent. Even more, the ingenious (falcon) hinge that supports the display screen supposedly has no grooves or openings to enhance its resilience.
The company used the software in the Mate X, which delivers specific foldable features like- split-screen multitasking, and drag & drop of text/image between screen.
Apart from launching the Mate X 5G, the company also stated that it will launch an upgraded version of the Mate Xs in March next year with Kirin 990 5G SoC.
So after a long delay, Huawei makes its way to become the second in the market to feature a foldable smartphone right now after Samsung Galaxy Fold.
Let see is it truly ready for the consumer market or not.
