Huawei is going to announce the P40 and P40 Pro on 26 March, but it seems like the company is also trying to launch the Mate 40 series later this year. As per a recent report, Huawei Mate 40 patent shows a different approach of design that we have never seen before.
LetsGoDigital spotted the Huawei Mate 40 patent. According to them, the Huawei Mate 40 may have a display on the back, but not the same as what we have seen in other smartphones. The Huawei Mate 40 seemingly features a wrap-around circular display or ring display around the camera module of the smartphone.
The circular display around the camera seems to be a touch-sensitive and has the ability to display notifications and allows users to accept or discard calls.
Now the above feature will be very much helpful for the users who keep their phones face down on the desk while working hours and can still be able to manage important notifications without picking up their phone.
As per the Huawei Mate 40 patent, the rear wrap-around circular display or ring display around the camera feature is not yet finished, the users can slide the rear display with a finger in order to zoom while capturing shots like the classic DSLR way.
This new feature, as per the patent is totally a new invention that we have never seen before, and it could be an interesting feature to experiment around with.
Still, we want to advise as it the patent and not the final design, so for now, just take it with a pinch of salt. We expect more info will come around in the coming weeks, so stay tuned for further details.
