Whatsapp web dark mode

We all love the dark mode over the light one. Well, the trend of dark mode, the WhatsApp, has introduced its dark mode in the earlier 2020. Currently, the company is now working on the dark mode of WhatsApp Web, but as per the recent report, early access for enabling the dark mode has surfaced online.

WABetaInfo reports the early access to the WhatsApp Web dark mode. So if you want to access the dark mode, you have to follow the steps below.

How to early access the Dark Mode on WhatsApp Web

1. Search  web.whatsapp.com in a browser and scan the QR code with your mobile app to log into the Web.

2. After login, right-click outside the messaging window and then select the Inspect sub-option to see the website code-pop up.

3. Search for <body class=”web”> string. Herewith the “Web” you have to add “Web dark”.

4. After editing it to “Web dark” hit enter to apply the dark theme.

The dark mode for the WhatsApp is not the actual black. Instead, it is the dark green color; that we find on android devices. However, still far better than the light one.

One thing to keep in mind, the change to the dark theme from light one is not permanent. The dark theme will vanish if you refresh the browser or just kill the window and open it again. You need to follow the same steps to enable it every time. However, please don’t get upset as it is only the early access to the WhatsApp Web dark mode before the company officially announced the update in the coming weeks.
