Huawei’s sub-brand Honor is all set to launch its next smartphone series- Honor 30 series, which includes Honor 30, Honor 30S (already launched), and Honor 30 Pro. So far, we have got a few rumors and leaks about the specifications of both the smartphones. However, today the company confirmed the processor to be equipped in the upcoming devices.
Honor has officially posted on Weibo to announce that HiSillicon chipsets will power all the devices in the Honor 30 series.
As per the official post, Honor 30 will sport the unannounced Kirin 985, while the Honor 30 Pro will boast the Kirin 990 5G SoC.
With the launch of Honor 30S, the company announced Kirin 820, the company’s first mid-range 5G SoC. Now the company may announce the Kirin 985 before unwrapping of the new smartphones. The Kirin 985 is expected to be similar to the Kirin 990 but with lower clock speed.
As per the leaked specifications, both the devices will feature a 6.57-inches FHD+ AMOLED display. The base model will have a 40MP main camera, while the Pro model will have a 50MP main camera, and both the devices will carry a 3,900mAh battery.
Apart from the Honor 30S, which is already launched in China, the other two devices of Honor 30 series will go official on 15 April Online event. So stay tuned with us for more details.
