It’s been just a while to the launch of the OnePlus 8 series, and Huawei’s sub-brand Honor has already revealed its much-anticipated Honor 30 series today. The Honor 30 series includes the Honor 30 itself, the Honor 30 Pro, and the Honor 30 Pro Plus. These three smartphones are the successors of last year’s Honor 20 series.

Honor has used the all-new Kirin 985 5G chipset coupled with the Mali-G77 GPU, which is pretty impressive. The Kirin 985 5G SoC comes with the Kirin ISP 5.0 that is alleged to bring a flagship-level camera performance and enhanced noise reduction. So without wasting any more time, let’s hop on to the specifications of these three smartphones.

Honor 30 Specifications

The Honor 30 comes with a punch-hole cutout located at the top left corner of the display, housing a single selfie camera. The smartphone features a quad-camera setup on the rear panel with smooth curved edges. You get the power unlock button and the volume rockers on the right side of the smartphone.

The display of the Honor 30 is a 6.53-inch OLED display panel offering Full HD+ resolution and an aspect ratio of 20:9. The resolution of the display is 1080 x 2400 pixels with a PPI of 403. It comes with an under-display fingerprint scanner under the hood.

As for the camera, the Honor 30 features a quad-camera setup on the rear, which includes a 40-megapixel IMX600 primary sensor with f/1.8 aperture, with an RYYB color filter. The primary sensor is accompanied by an 8-megapixel periscopic telephoto lens with f/3.4 aperture, with support for Optical Image Stabilization (OIS) and 5x optical zoom. The third one is an 8-megapixel ultra-wide sensor with f/2.4 aperture accompanied with a 2-megapixel depth sensor. Meanwhile, the front camera is a 32MP selfie snapper with f/2.0 aperture.

Talking about the internals, the Honor 30 comes with the latest 7nm HiSilicon Kirin 985 5G chipset coupled with 6/8GB of RAM and 128/256GB of storage. The GPU used on this smartphone is the Mali-G77 GPU coupled with a 4,000mAh battery with support for 40W fast charging and 5W reverse charging.

The Honor 30 Pro, which is a big brother to the Honor 30, features a full glass front and a glass back body wrapped in an aluminum frame. The front panel features a punch-hole cutout located at the top left corner of the display, housing a dual selfie camera. Meanwhile, the rear panel features a quad-camera setup with IP54 rating protection. You get the power unlock button and the volume rockers on the right side of the smartphone.

The display of the Honor 30 Pro features a 6.57-inch OLED panel with Full HD+ resolution with an aspect ratio of 19.5:9 and a PPI density of 392. The Pro variant also comes with an under-display fingerprint scanner under the hood.

As for the camera, the Honor 30 Pro features a quad-camera setup on the rear, which includes a 40-megapixel primary PDAF lens with f/1.8 aperture, with support for Optical Image Stabilization (OIS) and Laser AF. The primary sensor is accompanied by an 8-megapixel periscopic telephoto lens with f/3.4 aperture, with support for OIS and 5x optical zoom. The third one is a 16-megapixel ultra-wide lens with f/2.2 aperture accompanied with a 2-megapixel depth sensor. Meanwhile, the front camera is a 32MP selfie snapper with f/2.0 aperture accompanied by an 8MP ultrawide lens with f/2.2 aperture.
