Helio P95

Mediatek has announced its latest member of the MediaTek’s Helio P Series, the Helio P95 chipset. They announced this information without creating any type of fuss or commotion, which is kind of surprising.

The Helio P95 chipset is a single-cluster octa-core chipset with 2x Cortex-A75 cores clocked at 2.2GHz and 6x Cortex-A55 clocked at 2.0GHz. According to MediaTek, the IMG PowerVR GM 9446 GPU has been boosted 10% over the previous generation, enhancing gaming performance even further.

Also, with the Helio P95 chipset, you get secure and fast facial recognition for mobile payments and smartphone unlocking, pixel-level enhancements when adding touch-ups and relighting to pictures or AI enhancements for visual perception and noise-reduction (AI-NR).

The processor supports up to 8GB LPDDR4X RAM (1866MHz) and UFS 2.1 storage. Speaking about the camera, it supports 64MP sensors or 24MP+16MP dual cameras. By combining the AI-camera processing and the efficient hardware depth-engine together, the Helio P95 chipset provides precise edge detection that makes the Bokeh captures really better than ever.

At the same time, it also supports displays with resolution up to 2520 x 1080 with an aspect ratio of 21:9. The processor has a triple ISP with 14-bit RAW and 10-bit YUV processing. It also includes AI camera improvements such as 5-person human pose tracking, AI-NR low-light photography, multiple objects, and scene identification, and AI depth engine.

HyperEngine game technology of the P95 chipset goes beyond the chip and tunes your whole smartphone because, according to MediaTek, every millisecond matters. This means you will get intelligent networking, rapid touchscreens, and vivid visuals, which will ensure that you get a smooth and fast experience while gaming.

Talking about the connectivity, the P95 chipset supports dual 4G VoLTE on both SIM connections with 4G LTE data and voice. MediaTek’s latest 4G LTE WorldMode modem introduces 4×4 MIMO, 3CA, and 256QAM that provides more reliable connectivity performance even in densely populated spaces such as stadiums, busy shopping districts, offices or airports.

Currently, there is no information available about when we will see this chipset on a smartphone. All we can do right now is to wait for MediaTek to shed some light on this topic.
