With the release of Android 10, the dark mode feature is coming for various apps, including the apps by Google. We know that Google App and Assistant are the early apps to get support for the inbuild dark theme, and now it seems like Google Maps is next to get the same feature.[wpinsertshortcodead id=”bzyqm5d3e04029f48f”]
We get to know this from an animation posted on Instagram by Android’s official Instagram account. The post reveals Google Maps and some other apps transforming from light to dark theme. The feature automatically allows the apps to switch to dark mode as objected to the previous implementations with third-party skins.
Obviously, Google Maps dark mode is not new, the only distinction being the more prevalent existence of dark tones with the new style. Besides, system-wide functions like notifications and the Digital Wellbeing area in the settings menu are revealed with the dark theme.
The post also includes a dark mode for Google Photos. The animation was posted just a few days after Instagram pushed out dark mode for Android 10 and iOS 10 devices. However, Google didn’t mention any word when will they widely roll out dark mode Maps.
